FT743-SM

The FT743-SM is an advanced wind sensor designed to withstand the most challenging of battlefield environments. Measuring wind speeds up to 75 m/s with full 360° direction measurement, it is sealed to IP67 standards and features a powerful thermostatically-controlled de-icing system that provides full-body heating and ensures maintenance-free operation in the coldest of weather.

Thanks to FT Technologies' revolutionary Acu-Res® technology, the FT743-SM delivers a stronger signal-to-noise ratio than other ultrasonic anemometer technologies, and provides extremely high levels of data availability even under challenging conditions such as heavy rain or vibration. Every unit undergoes a rigorous battery of tests to ensure that it can endure the significant stressors experienced in military and defense environments, including shock, moisture, dust, extremes of temperature, EMI and more.

The rugged sensor is constructed from lightweight corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum, and weighs just 252g. It is ideal for integration into drones and unmanned systems as well as military vehicles and tactical weather stations.
